Welcome to Her Figure Studies. It’s ok, you can look.

A person wearing a white overall shirt with colorful drawings, handwritten words, and doodles. The drawings include a rainbow, a face, and animals, while the words include phrases like 'empty space' and 'feeding'. The person has long hair and stands against a plain white background.

Discover breakthrough pieces ready to disrupt your space and spark conversation. AI wrote the line before this one, and I kept it because it’s humorous. The shop will have original drawings, and maybe some unoriginal ones too.

b. 1972

This is me, Shana Torok. No one can pronounce my name, I figure that’s why people avoid saying it all together, and perhaps why I have no friends. Don’t feel bad for me, I don’t want any. And if you are mad at me because you think you are my friend, maybe you should consider calling or emailing every once in a while, consider this your notice. I’m not even friends with the person stage right of me in this capture. I have lots of stories and stuff that happened between the time when I wore these parachute pants and now.

I’m a drawing & painting clown, sad humorist, performing fool, truth-teller. My work is all about the body, mine, yours, all of it, humor, tho it doesn’t feel funny at all to claim it as a work motivation or attribute, and play. If chatgbt or any other bot got a hold of this attempt at a bio, I am sure they could really make me shine. I prefer matte.

As I go deeper into writing my bio, I feel a sense of gratitude for those that have contributed to the layers and colors of me. The ones that have labeled me so generously. An ā€œunpredictable bitch,ā€ ā€œa loose cannon,ā€ ā€œall over the place,ā€ ā€œMiss inappropriate,ā€ ā€œtoo sensitive,ā€ ā€œIf you want to know what Shana thinks, just ask her,ā€ ā€œbrutally honest,ā€ ā€œsurprising,ā€ ā€œphonetic speller.ā€

A bio is a daunting task, I would prefer to write mine without words, people will see what they want anyway right?

I was basically born, a lot of shit went down, and well, I’m kinda jumping in the middle here. I’ve acted as an art director for some fancy pants places, and a bunch of brands. I have put myself in boxes and cage danced in NYC in the 90’s. The box I am referring to was when my brother helped me construct a human sized Rubik’s Cube costume to compete in a roller-skating contest, I placed 3rd. Gosh, there is so much to tell, but I think I will return to my original impulse and tell you without words. (Video may go here some day if I remember.)

I’d suggest ā€œlet’s connect!ā€ Truth be told, I do not socialize or engage in small talk, medium talk, or big talk. If you think of other ways to connect, I am all ears.

Social? I’m not.
